The jury of The Green Fashion Competition consists of experts from varying disciplines. Each jury member assesses the submissions on basis of their personal expertise, albeit fashion design, financials or biodiversity.

Furthermore, The Green Fashion Competition is honoured to have a competition ambassador, whom represents the competition as a spokeswoman, campaign figure and host.

Lonneke Engel - Founder of Organice Your Life
In 2008 Lonneke Engel, international model and Certified Health Counselor, founded Organice your Life. Focused on a organic and fairtrade way of living, Organice Your Life provides advice to anyone who wants to improve their health, wellness and nutrition and that of their environment.

Introducing the Jury

Christope Mollet – Founder of Head-On Agency
In 1997 Christophe Mollet founded Head-on agency. Head-on offers strategic advice for fashion and design companies. Based in Paris and Amsterdam, Head-on has worked for clients as AF Vandevorst, Christian Wijnants, Isabel Marant, Adam Kimmel, Maison Martin Margiela, Dries van Noten, Zucca and Martine Sitbon.
Georgette Koning – Fashion Journalist
Renowned Dutch fashion journalist, Georgette Koning, studied Fashion design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. In Paris she worked for several fashion houses, among which Thierry Mugler. Since 1995 she has published in several journals and webmagazines, like NRC Handelsblad, Het Financiële Dagblad, Elegance and Vogue.it.

Manolo Márquez – Senior Banker ABN AMRO
Manolo Márquez is Head ABNAMRO Fashion Desk and entrepreneurial banker with over 20 years of experience servicing corporate clients.


Paul Vetter – Representative from the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation
As sustainability expert Paul Vetter has been involved in the set-up and lay-out of several initiatives concerning  green design. He is passionately committed to work towards an ecological future.


Tony Tonnaer – Founder of Kings of Indigo
With over twenty years of experience in the fashion world, in 2011 Tony Tonnaer founded K.O.I., Kings of Indigo, a new jeans brand focusing on the design, development and distribution of sustainable denim, tops and accessory concepts. His goal: using as many recycled fabrics as possible, making garments that are designed to last long, and that are manufactured close to home. 


Wijnand Broer – Deputy Director at CREM
Wijnand Broer is deputy director of CREM, agency for sustainable development on international, national and local scale. CREM provides consultancy services in the field of sustainable development with a strong emphasis on Corporate Social Responsibility, international supply chains and sustainable trade with developing countries.
